A New Series- An Ambiguous
Hovering 'tween Sculpture
and Painting
Paintings
My true paintings are
acrylics on canvas,
done most often in
what my late artist
friend, Denny Arant,
called "a realistic
fantasy" style
because I seldom put
people into these
scenes. But I know
that any painting that
has any person in it
then becomes a
painting OF that
person, and if you
don't know that
person, then WHY
would you buy a
painting of him ??

But being a sculptor, I
am likely to add found
objects into my work,
sometimes to the
point they are no
longer paintings, but
have become
sculptures. Flat
canvas is nice, but
WHY LIMIT MYSELF??
